For whatever reason, TMobile, which provides our cell service, doesn’t have any reception at my parents house.
My parents live in a densely populated area, but TMobile for whatever reason has chosen to not provide service here.
So I’ve had zero cell service for several days, and spotty service as we tour around.
It’s raised an important question: how much do you really need your phone?
Yes, obviously you need to be able to be called and there are things that are immediately important.
But do you have to have immediate access to everything?
Does a single device have to entertain and inform you?
Do you need a newspaper and a telephone in one?
I probably don’t.
It’s ok to be a few minutes to a few hours to a few days behind everyone else. It’s ok to live your life in the moment, focusing on the critical, without getting distracted by the mundane.
