They say working out early preps you for the rest of the day. You have more energy, etc.
I’m not sure that’s true for me. I usually go through a period of 1-3 hours post workout that is low and focuses on recovery.
I wonder if that has to do with the foods I was eating during those stretches of my life.
That’s something worth looking into. Recovery times on high carb diets are consistently long for everyone. I wonder if that has to do with the blood sugar fluctuations.
Anyway, we did a strength-based running workout this morning, and I feel pretty good.
We’ve been following a time restricted eating plan, and eating only during an 11hour (sometimes smaller) window. So all our morning workouts are fasted workouts, followed by breakfast 1-2 hours later.
I expected this type of regimen would be very difficult to follow, but it hasn’t been.
It’s amazing what the body can adjust to.
