I spent half of yesterday with very proud gun owners.

Regardless of your position on the topic, you have to admit one thing: gun ownership generally sinks deep into personal identity.

People generally don’t just have guns. People don’t usually simply say, “Yeah, I have a gun.” They know the details, the modifications, the reasons, and want you to feel the same way they do.

They generally get emotionally invested in their ownership and it is impossible to separate that from who they are.
