Flying

Flying is an interesting thing. You see people you know. You seem people who seem familiar. You see familiar types. And you see people who are completely different.

I spent the day in San Jose, and on my flight back were the typical business types visiting The Valley and returning. Others were tween girls and their moms coming from some sort of dance competition.

It was most interesting to watch the business women groan and glare at the moms of the dance girls. (The girls were super needy and acted as you might expect tweens whose lives were full of parent-funded competitive frivolity.)

The glares were probably a combination of “I wish I could be with my kids right now” and “why don’t those moms help their daughters grow up by growing up themselves?”

People are amusing.
