As I start the new year, I want to spend time each day writing my thoughts.
I don’t expect to blow myself or anyone away, but I’d like to practice clearing my head.
This year I want to price quiet contemplation, and allow my thoughts to work themselves out. Writing has always been a critical part of my thinking process: words need to be spoken in my internal monologue as I write them.
I find the outcome is strange: the good words stick, staying in my head, and the worthless thoughts escape onto paper, never to be read again. Further, I recognize patterns in my thinking and realize things that I must spend more time considering.
So here’s to writing every day, putting words to print and demonstrating a form of consistency.
